Old School Win! Zork + Windows Phone 7

You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.

Over the weekend I was tinkering with various Z Machine interpreters that are available. Without much trouble I got a simple system running mini Zork which plays just fine. I was curious if “text-only input on a touch device” would cause problems. It doesn’t.

Son #3 suddenly found himself completely engrossed in an adventure trying to evade the Grue.

  2. It doesn’t exist anywhere right now. It was an experiment that mostly worked. Unfortunately the machine I was using is incomplete and can’t be trusted to work for the entire game.
